went for bowling with jai, moni and reddy. what a way to start, with first 3 scoring throws being STRIKES!!!

btw, i for sometime, have turned into a prolific poet... writing quite many, that i have ceased to mention abt them in this journal... have a look at them in the poem section.

these days, i called up all the old nos. in my telephone book... the last time i saw them ranged till 5 yrs... called even those i hadnt called even once (was just having their number!)... it was a nice time.... in fact it was i who didnt attend many of the get-togethers for last 1.5 yrs... in some cases however, few hi-bye frens in my book made me realise that they are going to remain as hi-bye frens only... so for them i said to myself --> "ofcourse we didnt share much, so its natural our paths dont meet, well, next time i wont call on u... its ur turn now and i dont think u will take the trouble! already i have forgotten u, so its only natural i continue to do so..."

i know some 100 in coll... i am close to some 50 of them.. i may be seeing them on a daily basis... but after engg, each will be on their own way. But for a select few, all others will become history... ofcourse there is this grt thing called internet now, but how often we all meet again together and have a good laugh?

and i am not wrong when i foretell that in times to come, i will be moving maximum only with my wife and children :)

Ganesha celebrations doubt

5 yrs back when I came to Jayanagar, I learnt that old guys in our road (now all displaced) used to celebrate Ganesha festival very very grandly.. next only to 4th block Ganesha... ie second best in entire Jayanagar.... why not we end the discontinuation??? okie, we quickly kept first in our garage first, and from next yr, we slowly climbed, peaking last year.

This time since I am having GRE, I doubt there will be any festival... okie, theres this core group of abt 6 which does all the imp work, some other 6 helping very vaguely and another 30 who suddenly appear just on the fest day :) hmm, among the core grp, still a lot of talking to do b4 its decided to arrange or not... without me.... ofcourse i have offered to act as cashier as usual... but only that much... lets see...

"real" holiday

5 loving, laidback days with my grandparents and uncles in Sadashivnagar... it feels good to be with grandparents when they need affection and attention more than anything else in the twilight of their lives.... wow, he has lived grt and successful times and now, at some 85yrs, hes just so content to stay at home after an eventful life... talking to me :)

too bad. learnt that i cant use my father's gun. it seems that i should get a license by applying individually b4 he can "sell" it to me... lets see, still a lot of time for it... btw, when was seeing the telugu film Jayam recently, partially shot in jungles, my fren commented that the place is inside the protected area for bears (close-by to my native)... hmmm, suddenly i remembered all the stories of dad going for bear hunting and bringing back the skins (hunting was his hobby and in those days, wildlife laws were unknown!)

exhaustion

3 days of utter waste existance... btw, i almost collapsed due to exhaustion today, some kids had got cycles, so we tried our hand in cycle racing... while others were keeping quiet, i went on 5 solo dashes and tired myself b4 the timing event (the mistake). then 2 timing dashes. my body could take no more, needed 1 hr rest b4 i was back to myself... anyway, my stamina proved to be pretty good... i beat all the kids, though they daily use cycles, and myself almost leading a sedentary lifestyle.

Madanapalle

been to madanapalli for abt a week... its some 140 km from bangalore, and this time i went on my bike... had the usual grt time there:) watching movies, roamin around and late night parties:) Hari got married when i was there. and a majority of girls are also getting married very soon!! infact one of them already has a child! infact attended her child's naming ceremony.

Trivia on Indra: Due to 2 days difference in film release in andhra and karnataka, chiru fans in Chintamani and Bangalore who couldnt control themselves ended up in madanapalle on first day in some 60 Sumos it seems... ticket price in black skyrocketed to some Rs.3600/-... all hell broke loose... which forced the MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer) himself to issue tickets individually, one per head!

INDRA

its 2 am now and i am just back from watching INDRA.... typical film of Megastar Supreme hero Chiranjeevi.... what a film!!! in fact was in 2 minds whether to watch it here in Bangalore or in Andhra.... it would be wonderful madness over there in my native... anyway watched here itself... but i wasnt disappointed... its 2 weeks the films released, today is monday (a working day), 2nd show, film starting at some 10pm, and the theater is not at all in the heart of the Bangalore... but still its housefull and noise and whistles... only flowers and coins and group dances were missing!

btw, went to sis place in the morn, then to some Hindi film with fren (ya, i watched 2 films in a day), then lunch at Chillies.

ho, dreadful exams are over, and its sweet holidays again... what better way to start holidays than to have a nice body massage and steam bath...
