Politics:
- Representing the Lok Satta Party in Malkajgiri assembly constituency in Hyderabad city
- Led People For Lok Satta, a nonprofit advocating the Lok Satta, as a member of the first elected Executive Board and as the Vice President - Finance
- Served to develop the organization People For Lok Satta since 2009 and was involved in all decisions of the organization as a member of the Interim Executive Board
Social work:
- Winner of the World Bank India Development Marketplace Award 2007
- Secured funding from World Bank for my social venture that provides human powered lighting solutions to tribals and nomads
- Selected by World Bank from 2,500 venture proposals and introduced in 120 locations in rural India
- Work in urban development, environment and sustainable development is recognized by various universities and governments
- Contributed as invited expert at Sustainable Development International, held under the aegis of United Nations, and at World Forum in Geneva, Switzerland
- Presented and chaired sessions at sustainable development and regional planning conferences at Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, University of Sharjah, University of Hong Kong, in Beijing and in Chicago
- Awarded sponsorships from City of Geneva and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation
- Nominated for Green Leaf Award 2007 in solid waste management; one of three nominees across India
- Serving since 2004 as Vice President of Save Bombay Committee and Prakruti, NGOs in India
Professional work:
- Worked in various functions in corporate strategy, corporate finance, global sales and marketing, and product development in global companies in telecommunications and education industries in different parts of the world
Poetry:
- Authored two poetry books, Wanderings with Poetry (Peacock Books, 2007), and Song of a Bard and Other Poems (Prestige Books, 2005)
Education:
- Full-time MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, one of the top five business school programs in the world
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore
